Most of our patients, who choosed the definitve solution, the implantation, complains that they had to buy more and more adhesive even if they had expensive dentures before. What could cause this problem? Is it the deterioration of denture creams?
Naturally, the quality of denture creams is constant, making a bad product couldn’t be any interest of producers. It would be a significant shame on them.
Altough, we have to say this phenomena is real. There is a process in every denture wearer’s life what causes that the bigger amount of this cream will be necessary. They have to buy more and more, which means the temporary denture is getting more expensive month by month.
What causes this problem?
At the beginning the denture fits in the patient mouth perfectly, but in case of the teeth missing the jaw bone - because of the missing teeth there isn’t enough pressure on the bone - getting loose and thinner. That’s why the “flip-flop” effect occurs, there will be a gap between the denture and the jaw.
Using the denture glue is just a temporary solution, because at the beginning it can fill the small gaps, but while the gaps getting bigger, they have to use more and more amount of the cream untill they have to make a whole new denture.
What can you do to save the stability of your denture?
Even if the waste way of the jaw is a natural process in case of the missing teeth, you don’t have to acquiesce in it!
There is a durable fixation which is allowing to use your denture more than 4 years or at least thanks to that you needn’t to constantly adjusting on the device.
Implants and mini implants
Implants can be the best solutions, because they fit in the jaw bone as the artifical root of the teeth.
An affordable solution can be the mini implantation. During this treatment the dentist fixing the denture to the jaw bone. This is a durable solution for the problem what even can reinforced the bone structure becasue only 4 implants need to be fitted into the patient jaw during the treatment, despite of the full implantation (during that in case of the lower jaw 8-10 implants are necessary) it has a much lower price.
